Every year the VIDA Count shows us a gap remains in the media coverage of women authors compared to men authors. Various efforts are being made to correct this problem, such as the 2014 Year of Women, and the Her Story Arc Book of the Month is our way of contributing to the cause. Each month Her Story Arc features a new author in hopes of contributing to the mainstream acceptance of women as marketable authors. Books we choose are featured on our sidebar as well as given a publicized review through all our social media sites.
We strive to find and promote both traditionally- and self-published authors whose work deserve a wider audience. If you are a woman author interested in submitting your published (available for sale) work for our consideration, please send an email to editor@herstoryarc.com. Submitting your work to us does not guarantee your book will be selected. We choose the book of the month solely based on the quality of writing and storytelling. We do not accept gifts or money in exchange for reviews.
